Our practice
We are a private group practice comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners and other professionals who possess specialized education, certification and experience in obstetrics and gynecology (the medical specialties dealing with pregnancy, childbirth and the female reproductive system).
Stark County Women’s Clinic was established in 1953. In January 2013 SCWC became Stark Women’s Center, and we currently have six full-time OB/GYNs on staff – all board certified. This bold new initiative, which included a new name, logo, and a completely renovated office, represents our commitment to our patients in the evolving field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Today, we are the oldest and largest private medical practice of our type in Stark County and we are one of the most experienced, highly qualified OB/GYN groups in Ohio.

You come first
Patients always have complete freedom to see the doctor of their choosing at our clinic or elect to change doctors at any time. Patients may also choose to see a particular doctor for different health concerns. Your preferences, opinions and suggestions are important to us. Any of our doctors will be glad to take time to answer your questions.
State-of-the-art care
The combined specialized knowledge and advanced techniques used by our staff put us at the forefront of private medical practices providing obstetrical/gynecological care in our area. Our caring and highly trained professionals use state-of-the-art procedures and equipment, enabling us to provide the finest care available.
At Stark Women’s Center, many of our health and diagnostic services are offered on-site, including mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, in-office surgery and other OB/GYN procedures.
Fees, payments and insurance
We believe our fees are reasonable and comparable to those charged by other physicians in this area specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.
While our policy is for office visits to be paid at the time of service unless other arrangements are made, our staff is always available to assist you in filing for insurance claims. We encourage you to bring completed and signed insurance forms with you to your visit.
Our insurance department team is available to review your coverage prior to surgery and early in your pregnancy to avoid confusion and allow you to plan ahead. We have no control over exclusions or limitations in your coverage and payment in full is ultimately your responsibility.
Hospital and anesthesiology fees are separate from our medical fees. Please consult the business office and anesthesiology department at Aultman Hospital for this information.
Stark Women’s Center accepts Medicare assignments and participates in various HMOs and PPOs in the area. Our insurance department can answer your questions regarding participation in these plans.
