In Case Of An Emergency

If you develop a medical emergency, call 911 or 330-493-0313. Immediate arrangements will be made for you to be seen. Always call our office before going to the hospital.

Stark Women’s Center obstetric services extend beyond routine care provided by a physician alone. Here you receive the medical care you and your baby need as well as educational and emotional support. Our specially trained nurse practitioners and staff work hand-in-hand with our doctors and patients through every phase of prenatal care, through labor and delivery and beyond.

Your first visit upon confirming pregnancy will be with a nurse practitioner and will include a detailed health history, education on what you can expect, an initial exam, laboratory testing, and a schedule of care that is appropriate for you. Most pregnancies will involve a monthly visit for the first six months and more frequent visits during the last three months. Some pregnancies, however, involve some risk for the mother or baby and will need more intensive monitoring and more frequent visits. You will see your doctor or a nurse practitioner for all subsequent visits according to your needs. Addition services for high-risk pregnancies are always explained and scheduled by our staff.

Our integrated approach ensures that even for routine pregnancies your care is never routine. With a doctor on call in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can be certain that one of our physicians will be with you through labor and delivery, monitoring you and your baby every step of the way.
