Cancer Prevention

Life choices go a long way

Practicing a healthy lifestyle is the best way to prevent cancer, including eating right, maintaining an optimum weight and staying active. For women, self-examination and annual gynecological care is also crucial.

Practice prevention

Our team provides care and consultation to give patients the best chance to avoid cancer and to catch cancer early, when treatment can be most successful. Your annual check-up includes a comprehensive pelvic exam, pap smear, breast exam and urine sample. Depending on your age and family history, your doctor will advise as to the frequency of a mammogram.

We are here for you

We recommend women help reduce their risk for breast cancer by limiting alcohol consumption, limiting use and dosage of hormone therapy as much as possible, and by breast feeding during child-bearing years.
